The Sparco 600 Series seat base for BMW F87 M2 provides a vehicle-specific platform for an aftermarket seat installation at the factory floor mounting points. Choose the left or right base for the position being equipped.

Building an F87 M2 Seat Mounting Setup

The 600SB242 base provides a floor-mount platform for an aftermarket seat. Choose the remaining components as one mounting system: a bottom-mount Sparco seat typically uses the 00493 slider and 50001 hardware kit; a side-mount bucket also needs compatible side brackets and 50002 side-mount hardware. Seat, slider, brackets and hardware are separate purchases.

Mock up the assembly before final installation, checking the seat's position relative to the M2 steering wheel and pedals, full adjustment travel if fitted, and clearance to the center console and door trim. Plan the original seat's electrical connections separately; the base itself supplies no airbag or occupancy-sensor interface.

Is this the same as an F87 adapter that mounts on the original BMW sliders?
No. This listing is for the 600 Series floor base. Sparco also offers a separate 004916QB adapter arrangement described as mounting on the original sliders. Treat these as different mounting approaches; do not assume their brackets or installation steps are interchangeable.
Can a fixed-back bucket still move forward and backward in my M2?
A fixed seat back and fore/aft adjustment are separate features. A compatible slider, such as Sparco 00493 in the standard 600 Series component list, provides fore/aft movement. The available travel and final driving position depend on the completed seat-and-bracket assembly.
