The CSF 8025 upgrades engine oil cooling on the S65-powered BMW E90, E92 and E93 M3. It uses an AeroFlow bar-and-plate core with cast aluminum end tanks and TIG-welded construction.

The eight-row cooler addresses the engine oil circuit rather than coolant temperature or DCT transmission oil. Its later-style oil-line connections make the production-date check particularly important on early E9X M3 cars.

Product FAQs

What needs checking on an early 2008 M3?

Cars built up to March 2008 need the updated oil lines and O-rings specified for the later cooler connections. Build date and installed lines matter more than model year alone.

Does this cool the DCT transmission?

This product is the engine oil cooler. The 8042 has a separate transmission-dependent role on the E9X M3.

Does a larger oil cooler replace the coolant radiator?

No. Engine oil and coolant run in separate circuits, so the oil cooler does not replace the main radiator.
