This CSF liquid-to-air charge cooler replaces the top-mounted cooler on S55-powered BMW M3, M4 and M2 Competition models. The raw aluminum version uses a dual-pass cross-flow core with cast aluminum end tanks and internal air dividers.

The raw aluminum finish keeps the billet-style metal appearance visible in the engine bay. CSF specifies a larger core than the factory unit. Water connections and sensor provisions match the original charge-cooling layout, while the front heat exchanger remains a separate component.

Product FAQs

Is a front heat exchanger included?

No. This is the top-mounted charge cooler. The front-mounted heat exchanger, such as CSF 8075, is a separate component.

Will this fit a stock N55 M2?

No. The N55 M2 uses a different air-to-air intercooler arrangement. This cooler is for the listed S55 engines.

Does the finish change the cooling-circuit role?

No. Raw and coated versions perform the same charge-cooling role. Choose the listed finish without assuming a separate cooling system or included front heat exchanger.
