The Nitron NTR R3 with FAL coilover kit for BMW F87 M2 provides three-way adjustable suspension for detailed road and track setup with a standalone front axle lift package for obstacle clearance.

Key features and intended use

  • Adds temporary front axle lift for approaching driveways, ramps and similar obstacles.
  • Three independent damping adjustments provide more setup control.
  • Compression and rebound can be tuned separately for the selected springs and tires.
  • An external-reservoir specification provides a distinct packaging and adjustment arrangement.

Front axle lift: what this version adds

The standalone lift package is specified with lift cylinders, hydraulic lines, a pump, wiring loom and controller. The supplied application data states 25 mm lift at the shock. Vehicle ground-clearance change depends on the suspension geometry; it should not be presented as a guaranteed 25 mm rise at the bumper.

FAL assists with low-speed obstacle clearance. It does not make an unsuitable ride height, wheel clearance or suspension travel acceptable. Check hydraulic routing, component placement and clearance through suspension movement during installation.

How to choose the setup

Choose the spring package around tire grip, track frequency and the intended ride quality. FRS means Fast Road Specification; TDS means Track Day Specification. These are spring/build choices, not electronic driving modes. The supplier base part number alone does not capture every ordered configuration.

Coilover or divorced rear springs

A divorced rear arrangement keeps the spring separate from the damper. A rear coilover places the spring around the damper. Select the intended rear layout in the options; it is an installation choice rather than a cosmetic preference. Have the installer check the load path, mounts, spring clearance and travel for the selected arrangement.

Installation and ordering

Provide the model year, chassis, factory suspension equipment and intended use when specifying the order. Have the installer verify the mounts, usable travel, wheel clearance and any required electronic hardware. Confirm lead time for the selected configuration; catalog availability is not a promise of immediate dispatch.

Product FAQs

Is this a complete R3 kit or a standalone lift upgrade?

This listing is a suspension package with front axle lift. It is separate from the suspension-only listing and should not be ordered as a universal add-on for existing dampers.

Does front axle lift determine my normal driving height?

Choose the normal suspension height and alignment as part of the chassis setup. Temporary obstacle clearance is a separate requirement; establish the usable lift for the installed vehicle.

Do high- and low-speed compression refer to road speed?

No. They refer to damper shaft movement speed. A sharp suspension input can involve high shaft speed even at a low vehicle speed.

What space should be planned for the FAL installation?

Review the pump, reservoir, hose and electrical routing locations with the installer before the work is scheduled.
