Planning Your Seat Installation
The base, seat, slider, side mounts and hardware are separate components. A bottom-mount seat typically uses the base, Sparco 00493 slider and 50001 hardware kit. A side-mount competition seat also needs compatible side mounts and side-mount hardware such as kit 50002. Match the mounting components to the exact seat, rather than treating the base as a complete installation kit.
The wide mounting platform can support a direct side-mount arrangement for a lower seating position; this may require drilling the platform. Check the seat width, driving position and cabin clearance before final installation. This base does not provide an airbag or occupancy-sensor integration solution.
