Vehicle and mounting: BMW F87 M2 and G87 M2 installations require the correct chassis-specific base and matching runners. F87 and G87 bases are not interchangeable. Select the left- or right-hand seat for the position being equipped and check recline and belt-buckle clearance.

The Sparco SPX brings a carbon backrest and an adjustable reclining mechanism to a premium street-car seat. It combines lateral support with the access and posture adjustment a fixed-back bucket cannot provide.

Manufacturer drawing dimensions describe the seat exterior and fixing geometry, not internal sitting width. Allow separately for the mounting base and brackets when checking the installed position.

Selection and Installation

For a coupe, the folding release may matter as much as weight or trim. Check door clearance and rear-seat access with the correct left/right seat before deciding on the mounting stack.

Is the SPX supplied as a driver/passenger pair?
The left and right seats are separate orderable versions. Select the required side and finish, and plan the vehicle-specific mounting components separately.
What separates SPX from a fixed-back carbon bucket?
SPX combines a carbon backrest and RTM lower section with a reclining mechanism and leather/Alcantara trim. Its adjustable road-seat layout differs from the fixed shell of EVO Carbon.
How much cabin space does the SPX diagram show?
The published envelope is 542 mm at the shoulders, 481 mm at the outer base, 940 mm high and 615 mm fore/aft. These figures do not include a car-specific mounting base.
